Jess Smith serves as the President of the Golden State Valkyries, overseeing all business operations for the franchise. A veteran sports executive with over 18 years of experience across the WNBA, NWSL, MLS, NHL, and MLB, Smith joined the Valkyries after a groundbreaking tenure as Head of Revenue for Angel City FC. Under her leadership, the Valkyries’ inaugural 2025 season made history, breaking all-time WNBA attendance records, securing a massive roster of founding corporate partners, and earning her the WNBA Business Executive Leadership Award. Smith has been named to Sports Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, honored as a Power Player in Women’s Sports, and recognized as SBJ’s Best Hire of the Year.
