Mauro Porcini

In April 2025, Mauro Porcini was appointed as Samsung’s inaugural President and Chief Design Officer. In this role, he manages a global team of 1,500 designers across the company’s mobile, display, and appliance divisions.

Prior to joining Samsung, Porcini made corporate history by serving as the first-ever Chief Design Officer for both PepsiCo and 3M. During his 13 years at PepsiCo, he built a thriving creative culture from the ground up, eventually expanding his department to nearly 400 professionals globally.

Porcini is an accomplished author who has published multiple award-winning books on innovation and leadership. His diverse career journey also includes early foundational work at Philips Design, co-founding an Italian design agency, and exhibiting his wearable technology concepts at the Louvre. Additionally, he has hosted a popular global design podcast and served as a television judge for design-focused reality shows.
