Ed Catmull is co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios and former president of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. 

Catmull played a pivotal role in revolutionizing the animation industry, leading Pixar to become a powerhouse in the creation of groundbreaking animated films. Under his leadership, Pixar produced classics such as “Toy Story,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Up,” earning numerous Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature.

In his role as President of Walt Disney Animation Studios, his push to reinvigorate the creative process resulted in a string of successes including Frozen and Zootopia.

Throughout his career, Catmull has been dedicated to advancing the intersection of technology and creativity, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation. His bestselling book, Creativity, Inc.: Overcoming the Unseen Forces That Stand in the Way of True Inspiration shares his insights on leadership and the principles that guided Pixar’s success.

He has received five Academy Awards, and many other accolades including the ACM A.M. Turing Award for major contributions to computing.
