Carrie Joy Grimes is the founder of WorkMoney, a major nonprofit organization that helps over nine million Americans navigate personal financial issues. Before establishing this platform during the 2020 pandemic, she spent twenty years serving as a dedicated union organizer. In that foundational role, she worked directly with working-class families to help them successfully negotiate for higher pay and better benefits.
Under her leadership, WorkMoney achieved an incredible scaling milestone by growing from zero to nine million members in just five years. Her impactful career and financial advocacy have been highlighted on the Masters of Scale podcast. Additionally, Grimes has expanded her reach by launching the MoneyFinder bill negotiation service and authoring the major book, The Joy of Money.
