Founder
Todd Graves is the owner and founder of Raising Cane’s, which operates 1,000+ restaurants around the world and achieved $5.6B in system sales in 2025. After receiving the lowest grade in a college class for his business plan, Todd set out to raise money for his dream: to open a restaurant serving only chicken fingers. After being turned away by every bank, Todd set out to raise money on his own, working as a boilermaker in California and sockeye salmon fisherman in Alaska before returning to Baton Rouge. On August 28, 1996, Todd opened Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers across from the North Gates of LSU in Baton Rouge.
Since then, Todd has grown the brand to 1,000+ restaurants and nearly 100K crewmembers and has given back more than $165M to local communities.
