Sam Borden

Award-winning journalist Sam Borden currently serves as a global correspondent and senior writer for ESPN, a role he stepped into in 2017 after a tenure at The New York Times. Throughout his career, which began in 2002 as a Yankees beat writer for the New York Daily News, he has focused heavily on enterprise and investigative stories spanning international soccer, the NFL, and the Olympics.

Sam’s storytelling has earned him multiple Sports Emmy and Webby Award nominations.
