Dr. John Maeda is the VP of Design and AI at Microsoft. Maeda has authored five books about design and technology, including How to Speak Machine and The Laws of Simplicity. Prior to Microsoft, Maeda held positions such as CTO at Everbridge, the data visualization lead at MIT Media Lab, President of the Rhode Island School of Design, and board member at Sonos and Wieden+Kennedy. His art is represented in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Cartier Foundation in Paris.
