Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce

Gina Raimondo served as the 40th U.S. Secretary of Commerce from 2021 to 2025 under President Joe Biden. Prior, she was elected in 2014 as Rhode Island’s 75th governor, the first woman to hold the office. Since leaving the cabinet in January 2025, she has joined the Council on Foreign Relations as a distinguished fellow focused on economic security and U.S. competitiveness.
