Frank Konkel

Frank Konkel is the editor in chief at GovExec and oversees all its publications. Frank began covering the intersection of technology, policy, and government in 2012, with a special focus on how the Defense Department and national security agencies adopted emerging technologies. He regularly travels to cover tech and defense conferences, moderates high-level panels in the Beltway and elsewhere and still reports the news from time to time.

Before his reporting career in Washington, D.C., Frank covered state and local news in his home state of Michigan, where he grew up on a dairy farm. In his free time, Frank likes mountaineering, playing sports and chasing the sun.
