Co-founder

Center for Humane Technology

Aza Raskin’s entrepreneurial career includes founding several successful startups, such as the music platform Songza—which was later acquired by Google—and the health-tech venture Massive Health.

As a prominent advocate for ethical technology, he co-founded both the Center for Humane Technology and the Earth Species Project, a non-profit using artificial intelligence to decode animal communication. He also famously coined the phrase “freedom of speech is not freedom of reach,” an influential concept used by industry leaders and public figures to address the impacts of platform amplification.
