Anj Midha

Since 2023, Anjney Midha has been a Venture Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. In this capacity, he holds board seats at a variety of tech companies, including Mistral AI, OpenRouter, Luma AI, Black Forest Labs, LMArena, Periodic Labs, and Sesame AI.

Before joining a16z, Midha worked at Discord as the Vice President of Platform Ecosystem. There, he managed developer products for a user base of over 200 million, established the company’s first dedicated developer organization, and spearheaded its highly successful partnership with Midjourney. He originally transitioned to Discord after the platform acquired his startup, Ubiquity6. Midha was the co-founder and CEO of the company, which specialized in multiplayer and computer vision technology for millions of global users. Earlier in his career, he worked as a partner at Kleiner Perkins and was instrumental in launching their inaugural dedicated seed fund.

Beyond his primary roles, Midha has actively backed several prominent startups as an angel investor. His portfolio features heavily in the AI space, including investments in Anthropic, Ideogram, Eleven Labs, Mashgin, Infinitus AI, and Luma AI.

Raised in India and Singapore, Midha earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University. He currently resides in San Francisco, where he spends his free time surfing the California coastline and contributing code to open-source repositories.
